  The rods and gear appear to be solid starter equipment for us. When fishing in Comox Lake, we'd recommend using a Cowichan #4 spoon and a Cowichan wedding band hook with a worm, about two feet down. Happy fishing, folks!

  This set came with two telescopic rods, which is perfect for fishing trips with my wife. She's always wanted to join, but I used to lug around all her gear.   I purchased one of these a few years back and I gotta say, they've really stepped up their game. You get a ton of bang for your buck - a solid rod, braided line, some tackle, and a nice case. I was honestly taken aback by how much more I got compared to what I bought years ago. Everything feels durable and made from quality materials. It's a really nice set and I'd totally recommend it if you're on the fence.

  I stumbled upon this set while prepping for my first camping trip with my son. I thought it would be a great purchase considering its compact size and the fact that it came with two rods. While the rods were decent, I ended up spending more time untangling the mess the reels created than actually fishing.

  I really appreciated that they were designed for both right and left-handed use. They were compact and offered good options. However, all of that was overshadowed by the fact that they were so poorly made. I bought two sets and one of the reels broke almost immediately. I'm just thankful I had the foresight to buy extras for my fishing trip.

  I purchased these for some beginner-level fishing. They worked alright, but I had a bit of a struggle with the reel and line getting tangled underneath the hoop and somehow winding up inside the reel. I never felt too confident casting the line out too far, but for the price, it gets the job done.

  It's a breeze to take along on hikes and trips. The setup isn't too tricky. The included carry bag is a big help in keeping everything tidy and comes in handy. I haven't had the opportunity to use it this summer to test its comfort and smoothness, but I'm eager to see what I'll reel in from the water!

  As a motorcycle rider without a concealed carry permit, I found a loophole in Florida's laws. If you've got fishing gear with you, you can open carry as long as you inform any officer that you're heading to fish. This fishing rod set fits perfectly in my saddlebags as I cruise down the road. Thanks for the workaround!
