  Been putting it through its paces for about half a year now. And guess what? It out casts even my trusty okuma and lews rods. I'll admit, it's a tad on the rigid side, but when you factor in the price and the sheer convenience of its collapsible design, it's a rod that earns my applause. A solid 5 stars I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Just so you know, I've got it paired with 10 lb braid (or maybe it's 15 can't recall) to 10lb fluorocarbon, and man, does it cast like a dream.

  Got myself this nifty fishing rod and reel combo with one thing in mind a fishing pole that's car friendly and can cozy up in my college dorm. Left behind my bulky rods due to space limitations, you see. The impressive part?   If you've got a soft spot for fishing like I do, you'll appreciate the sheer convenience of having this kit nestled in your trunk during a road trip. Who knows when you'll stumble upon a picturesque lake or meandering creek and crave a quick fishing fix? Now, bear in mind, this isn't my top tier gear more of a fantastic backup plan.   On the third outing with the rod, the crucial bottom rod screw mysteriously vanished. Reached out to the manufacturer, and to my dismay, they declined to provide a replacement or sell me a new piece.

  Gotta say, I've developed a soft spot for this rod/reel combo. It's compact and lightweight, tailor made for those smaller catches in streams and ponds. With the right line, I wouldn't doubt its capability to wrangle in some decent sized trout. Plus, it snugly fits onto my backpack during hikes a match made in angler's heaven.

  Tested it out on the Colorado River, and let me tell you, considering the price and its origin from China, we were collectively taken aback by its performance! Hauled in a nice haul of trout and the reel's smoothness was a highlight. Suffice to say, it was in high demand among our group.

  Just wrapped up an amazing Kauai fishing adventure at the Jetty with this rod in hand. Rigged it up with a 2oz weight and a trusty #2 hook. Reeled in a whole bunch of feisty Black Tail Snapper they varied in size from a mere 1/4 pound to a whopping 1.5 pounds. Impressive, right? And let me tell you, the rod didn't miss a beat, staying securely in place and folding down like a breeze. Oh, and the handle area? Total comfort.

  My fishing scorecard reads: three catches, including 2 bass and a blue gill. Had a bit of a tangle with a tree underwater, but skillfully maneuvered it with the rod not too shabby, if you ask me. I'll admit, some reviews had me concerned, but in practice, it's proven to be rather capable.
